Before stepping full-time into real estate, Josh spent 15 years in executive communications roles, for global organizations with revenues from $600MM-$2B. His notable accomplishments include co-leading a $30MM full-stack media campaign to increase public adoption rates for plastics recycling, launching a new technology brand, expanding franchise growth by 10%, managing partner relationships with McKinsey & Co., and co-scripted an episode for The Discovery Channel.
Most recently Josh led creative-services, marketing and corporate communications for a $2 billion plastics producer, marketing products for a variety of industries including medical research, foodservice and consumer goods. Led storytelling and visual media and photo/video team and public-relations for seven manufacturing sites in the U.S. and Colombia. Reported to the Executive team and worked closely with the President & CEO.
Key accomplishments include:
• Collaboratively implemented multi-million industry marketing campaign with over 1BN impressions, 500K unique monthly visitors, and 250K engaged users with contact information (in coordination with partners)
• Led sustainability communications strategy to educate consumers on single-use plastic waste solutions, working closely with the American Chemistry Council (ACC), Foam Recycling Coalition, Foodservice Packaging Institute, and others
• Built marketing program and web presence for joint-venture, along with partner Agilyx (a leading global sustainability company) to operate the world’s largest advanced recycling facility
• Directed, scripted, planned and assisted with production of Discovery Channel program “Tomorrow’s World Today” episode featuring advanced recycling, airing in 2019
• Procured and managed relationships with business strategy partners, including McKinsey & Co. and BCW
• Led corporate sustainability messaging for the company, its joint-venture, partner organizations, and internal communications. Website visitors ~5-10K/mo
• Lobbied for advanced recycling in Washington, D.C. to increase public support and government funding for recycling infrastructure projects
• Developed crisis management and media training program for emergency events, providing 5 training events with ~40 associates trained
