Corporate Responsibility Reporting for a $2B Petrochemical Manufacturer
From 2014 to 2022, AmSty operated without a formal sustainability framework, leaving the company vulnerable in an increasingly ESG-focused marketplace. The plastics and petrochemical industries faced mounting pressure from investors, customers, and regulators to demonstrate environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Without comprehensive reporting infrastructure, the company risked losing competitive positioning, stakeholder confidence, and access to capital markets that increasingly demanded transparent sustainability metrics.
My Role:
As the architect and sole producer of AmSty's corporate responsibility reporting program, I established the complete ESG communications framework that continues to guide the company's sustainability strategy today. Over eight years, I delivered three comprehensive reports, managing every aspect of production from data collection through final print delivery. I conducted cross-functional coordination with executive leadership, board of directors, corporate ownership, and operations teams across multiple facility locations to gather performance metrics, validate claims, and align messaging with business strategy.
My end-to-end responsibilities included content strategy, writing, editing, data visualization, photography, videography, graphic design, layout, and print production. I also produced multilingual versions in Portuguese and Spanish to serve international stakeholder audiences. The reporting infrastructure I built established measurable KPIs, standardized data collection processes, and created templates that enabled continued publication after my departure. This foundational work positioned AmSty to meet evolving ESG disclosure requirements while strengthening relationships with investors, customers, and community partners who increasingly prioritize sustainability performance in their decision-making.
